Plastic Surgery of Labia - Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is cosmetic surgical procedure, which enables reduction of labia minora and it modifies their asymmetry. The procedure is characteristic by immediate effect, simplicity and uncomplicated performance and mainly even with good price affordability.

Recently the number of women who undergo this procedure at our clinic has increased. It stands as the most frequent procedure in the field of aesthetic genital surgery.

When is the right time for labiaplasty?

Under normal circumstances labia minora are covered with labia majora. In case of their moderate enlargement there are usually no aesthetic or functional complications.

Problems start when the enlargement is abnormal, this can cause problems by:

sport activities
wearing swim suit and underwear
hygiene or sexual intercourse
or problems clearly aesthetic that reduce self-confidence of the woman

In these cases is the procedure fully indicated from cosmetic and psychological view.

Performing labiaplasty

It can be an outpatient surgery or with one day hospitalization. The position is gynecological, duration of the procedure is 45 minutes in average.

The procedure is performed under short general anaesthesia. Local anaesthesia is not recommended because filling the treated area can distort the genitals and therefore limits preciseness of the procedure.

There are several surgical methods that can be used. Their selection depends on genital anatomy and client's expectations.

After labiaplasty

suturing material is mainly absorbable without the need of removal
post-surgical sport restriction takes two weeks and at least 3-4 weeks sexual restriction.
