What is Botulinum Toxin

Botulinum Toxin is a solution containing substance called botulinum toxin in drug form that relieves muscle spasm. In aesthetic dermatology it is used in very small dosages for removal of mimic wrinkles and excessive sweating.

Botulinum toxin can be applied only by medically trained and certified surgeons.

Application of botulinum toxin is one of the most elegant methods for removal and smoothing of wrinkles. In this case it means removal of mimic wrinkles. They are not dependent only on age because we use mimic muscles since childhood.

How do wrinkles and furrows look?

• Frown or sorrowful drooping lines between eyebrows close to the root of a nose have negative and angry effect on the others.

How does botulinum toxin function?

Botulinum toxin temporarily cuts the connection of nerve and muscle in the given area and therefore it prevents the mimic muscle from shrinking.
